Tricia Sham is a Florida-based abstract(ed) artist who amplifies the painful feelings of betrayal and confusion as the result of the words from not only others but ourselves. She depicts resiliency through the figures’ defiance from the hurtful forces with the use of elements found in nature with ambiguity or abstraction. With a B.A. in Studio Art, her work utilizes non-traditional objects and techniques to emphasize specific narratives unique to each work. Tricia’s current mediums consist of colored pencil on matboard and acrylic on canvas with jewelry. She utilizes nature both as a savior and as an enemy to communicate the complicated yet wonderous relationship between nature and human emotive experiences.
